Total Unicorn

From 2010 until 2018, with Lyman Hardy III, and Lindsey Taylor, I was part of the multi-disciplinary performance group that behaved like a band and offered way more production value for your dollar on any given Saturday night. I conceptualized and produced all the visual art and animation for the live shows and promo (posters, fliers, album art, etc). For a while, Total Unicorn was my prime outlet for new ideas and a living, breathing laboratory for any tech I wanted to try. It was fun, and, sometimes, a grind, but I miss it. This is now a repository for the archive.

This time we're fully integrating the dance number into the visual playback. We have our budget Kinect setup using Delicode NiMate and Cinema. The Kinect produces some pretty strange results so I'm going to have to 'interpret' the data (follow along with my IK character) but it's as close as I can get to the energy and grace of the real live Lindsey Taylor.
